This free Easter Sensory Bin Literacy Activity is a great hands-on way to practice early literacy skills like CVC words and ending sounds!

When searching for a filler for this month’s sensory bin it only seemed fitting that an Easter-themed bin deserved some Easter basket filling!

How fun and festive is this stuff?! It feels fabulous, adds some Easter spunk to the activity, and is super cheap. That’s a “win” all around in my book!

If you already use sensory bins in your classroom your new bin is already halfway set up! Simply toss last month’s filler into a gallon-sized baggie. But be sure to save it for another fun bin! Replace the old filler with the Easter basket filling.

If you’re new to the sensory bin scene, no worries! Grab whatever size bin or basket works for your space and you’ll be ready to go!

How to Play

This set of sensory bin printables has 2 very similar activities, making it perfect for adapting to your students’ needs without anyone feeling like they’re missing out.

In the first set, cut and place the Easter Egg pieces with CVC words and images in a sensory bin.

To play, students will choose egg pieces from the sensory bin to match with their correct image or word. Then, they’ll record their answers using the CVC Words recording sheet.

This download includes Easter egg cards and a recording sheet for working on CVC words.

For the second set, students will choose egg pieces from the bin or basket to match their correct image or final sound. Then, they’ll record their answers using the Ending Sounds recording sheet.

If you’re in a pinch, you can even just add the egg pieces to a small basket for students to pick from. This way is still effective AND fun!

This download also includes Easter egg cards for working on matching pictures with their ending sounds.

No matter which set you use, your kiddos are sure to have a blast with these sensory bins this Easter season!
