Happy spring! I don’t know about you, but I am always SO ready for spring weather by the time April comes around! I love boots, scarves and hot coffee as much as anyone else, but there’s something so inspiring about the fresh start that the spring season brings. One of my favorite parts of spring is the Easter holiday, so I hope that you can add these Easter Sensory Bins to your list of inspiration! Sensory Bins are a great hands-on activity for practicing early literacy skills!
*Pair these with our Easter Math and Literacy Centers for tons of learning fun this season!
Easter Sensory Bins
When searching for a filler for this month’s bin, it only seemed fitting that an Easter-themed bin deserved some Easter basket filling!
How fun and festive is this stuff?!
It feels fabulous, adds some Easter spunk to the activity, and is super cheap. That’s a “win” all around in my book!
If you used our St. Patrick’s Day themed sensory bin last month, your new bin is already halfway set up!
Simply toss last month’s filler into a gallon sized baggie (be sure to save it for another fun bin!) and replace it with this great stuff.
If you’re new to the sensory bin scene, no worries! Grab whatever size bin works for your space and you’ll be ready to go!
RELATED RESOURCE: CVC Words Writing Centers
This set of bins has 2 very similar activities, making it perfect for adapting to your students’ needs without anyone feeling like they’re missing out.
In the first set, cut and place the Easter Egg parts with CVC words and images.
To “play”, students will choose egg pieces from the bin to match with their correct image or word. Then, they’ll record their answers using the recording sheet.
For the second set, students will choose egg pieces from the bin to match their correct image or final sound.
No matter which set you use, your kiddos are sure to have a blast with this bin in their phonics stations!
