Let them circle and underline the correct colors as shown below while you explain the instruction.
This visual cue will help those unsure of the verbal instruction and give a reminder for our young learners about which colors to use.
You may also choose to write an uppercase letter in red and a lowercase letter in green near the directions as another visual cue.
The upper and lowercase letter sort pack includes letters from A- Z, as well as a page with a tree but blank apples to customize if necessary.
To make it reusable (and not specifically for assessment purposes), one can laminate it and use with dry-erase markers in the literacy center, OR use play dough to make apples and place on top of the letters in the play dough center!
This is a fun, easy-prep apple literacy activity that is perfect for Back-to-School time!
