LITERACY CENTERS AND ACTIVITIES:

CVC Clip Cards (2 sets) – Clip the short a CVC word that matches the picture shown. *option 2 contains the word next to the picture for word-to-word matching.

“The Life Cycle of a Pumpkin” Easy Reader (2 levels) – Print a simple label style version or one with a predictable sentence pattern. Copy two-sided and cut in half for two books!

Letter Matching Mats – Laminate and use a dry erase marker to write the matching letter underneath each pumpkin, or cut out the letter pumpkins (you can even use Velcro) for an additional matching option (both upper and lowercase included).

Pumpkin Pairs – Complete the pumpkin puzzles by matching letters (both upper and lowercase included). Optional recording sheet included as well.

Name Tracing Strips (Editable!) Make these for your students and laminate them or put them in a sheet protector. With dry erase markers they can trace their names over and over! 

Letter Sound Puzzles – 3-piece puzzles to match uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and beginning sounds.

Pumpkin Seed Letters – Pick a pumpkin card and say the letter. Record it on a pumpkin seed. Both upper and lowercase versions are included.

Colorful Pumpkins – Match the colored pumpkins to their color word and record the pairs on the optional recording sheet. *2 versions – one contains a matching pumpkin next to the correct color word for guidance.

Pumpkin Tracing Cards – Print and laminate. With a dry erase marker kids can practice writing both their upper and lowercase letters.

Rhyming Puzzles – Match up pumpkin seeds to their pumpkins by finding the pictures that rhyme. * 2 versions – one is pick a card and color the rhyme on a recording sheet.

Pumpkin Letter Roll (Editable!) – Roll the die and write the letter on the graph. If you roll a pumpkin, pick any letter! The editable version can be used for any letters and includes inserts for the plastic sleeve dice.

MATH CENTERS AND ACTIVITIES:

Number Clip Card Match– Clip the matching number.

10 frames/20 Frames Clip Card Match – Count the pumpkins in the ten and twenty frames and clip the number that shows the total. (Numbers to 20.)

Pumpkin Addition to 10/Missing Pumpkins Cards – Read the number on each pumpkin and count how many are already in the ten-frame. Add more pumpkins until you reach your needed total.

Numbers Write and Wipe Cards – Print and laminate. With a dry erase marker kids can practice writing numbers 0-9.

Pumpkin Roll – Roll a die, count the dots, and color the pumpkin with the matching number.
– Version 2 – Roll a die, count the dots, and color the pumpkin with the matching die.
– Version 3 – Roll two dice, add the numbers, and color the pumpkin with the sum.

Pumpkin Patch Spin – Use a paperclip and a pencil to spin the pumpkin spinner. Say the number and color a pumpkin that matches. (numbers 1-5)
– Version 2 –Use a paperclip and a pencil to spin the pumpkin spinner. Say the number and color a pumpkin that matches. (numbers 6-10)
– Version 3 – Use a paperclip and a pencil to spin each pumpkin spinner. Add the numbers together (use the number line if needed) and color a pumpkin with the sum. (sums to 10)

Black and White Copies of color items are included at the end of the file.
