LITERACY CENTERS AND ACTIVITIES:

ABC Clip Cards (2 levels) – Clip the letter that matches the letter shown. (Uppercase to Uppercase matching, and Uppercase to Lowercase matching options).

“In the Ocean…” Easy Reader (2 levels) – Print a simple label style version or one with a predictable sentence pattern. Copy two-sided and cut in half for two books!

Dolphin Dive (2 levels) – Pick a dolphin card and say the picture name. Find and color the starfish with the correct beginning sound. (One set includes the letter of the beginning sound written on the cards for letter matching support.)

Fluency Fish (2 levels) – Pick a fish card and say the picture name. Find and color the fish with that CVC word. (One set includes the CVC word written on the cards for word matching support.)

Shark Attack! Sight Words (Editable!) – Pick a shark card and read the sight word. Record the word you pick.

A Whale of a Tale (2 levels) – Pick a whale card and say the picture name. Find and trace the “magic e” CVCe word that matches. (One set includes the CVCe word written on the cards for word matching support.)

Crabby for Blends (2 levels) – Pick a crab card and say the picture name. Find and color the crab with the matching beginning blend. (One set includes the written blend on the cards for word matching support.)

Ocean Write It (Write the Room) – Pick a card (ocean-themed). Find and record the word next to its matching picture on the recording sheet. * Also includes a coloring version (no writing required, color the matching insect).

MATH CENTERS AND ACTIVITIES:

Whale Count and Clip – Count the whales in the 10 and 20 frames and clip the total. (sets to 20).

Seashell Count – Count the seashells in the sand and clip the total (sets to 20, and adding on from 10).

Ocean Life Roll and Tally – Roll the die. Put a tally in the box next to the ocean animal you roll. See which animal gets the most! *Inserts included if you use your own plastic sleeve dice.

Ocean Life Roll and Graph – Roll the die. Color a space above the animal you roll on the graph below. See which one gets to the top first! *Inserts included if you use your own plastic sleeve dice.

Turtle Ten and Twenty Frames (2 games) – Pick a sea turtle card and read the number. Fill in a ten frame (or 20 frame) to match. *Print the 20 frame option double-sided.

Collecting Seashells (2 levels) – Pick a shell card. Use two different colors to build the equation on the five frames. (2 sets – addition to 5 and addition to 10.)

Sea Life Subtraction (2 levels) – Pick a seahorse card and solve the subtraction problem. Color a starfish with the answer. (2 sets – subtraction within 5 and 10.)

Sea Turtle Tally (2 levels) – Pick a sea turtle card and count the tally marks. Color the seashell that shows the total. (One set includes the number written on the cards for support.)

Jumping Jellyfish Count by 10’s – Order the numbered jellyfish cards from 10-100. Record the numbers on the jellyfish.

Jumping Jellyfish Count by 5’s – Order the numbered jellyfish cards from 5-100. Record the numbers on the jellyfish. *Print double-sided.

Feed the Shark Counting Mats – Use playdough or other manipulatives as “fish” on the shark by reading the number or number words (numbers to 20).

Feed the Shark Addition and Subtraction Mats – Use play dough, buttons, or any other small manipulative as counters for “fish” to solve the addition and subtraction problems. Can laminate and use with dry-erase markers.

Black and White Copies of color items are included at the end of the file.
